Sant Kumar Sanganeria Honored with “Shiksha Utthan Shiromani” Award at Hindu College

Ultra International Ltd. Chairman Attends JNU Convocation

Shri Sant Kumar Sanganeria, Founder Chairman and Managing Director of Ultra International Ltd., who has played a key role in promoting Indian flavors and fragrances on national and international platforms, was honored with the prestigious “Shiksha Utthan Shiromani” award by Hindu College, University of Delhi, on its 126th Foundation Day. The award was presented to him by the Union Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, who was also the chief guest at the event.

Additionally, the 8th convocation ceremony of the globally renowned Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) was held on February6, 2025, where Shri Sant Sanganeria, Chairman of Ultra International Ltd. and Managing Trustee of the Sanganeria Foundation, shared his insights. On this occasion, he emphasized the vital role of education and intellectual development in shaping India’s future.

 

Shri Sanganeria has been instrumental in establishing Ultra International Ltd. as aglobally recognized name in the flavors andfragrance industry. Beyond business, he is adedicated philanthropist and social worker.

 

The JNU convocation ceremony took place at Pragyan Bhavan, AICTE, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. This significant event highlighted the university’s strong commitment to academic excellence and leadership.

 

The ceremony was attended by several distinguished personalities, including former ISRO Chairman Dr. S. Somanath, former Ambassador and Foreign Secretary ShriKanwal Sibal, JNU Vice-Chancellor Professor Shantishree D. Pandit, and Shri Sant Sanganeria himself.

Shri Sant Sanganeria is the founder of the Sant Sanganeria Foundation for Health and Education, which focuses on providing education and healthcare services to under privileged communities. He has contributed financially to infrastructure development at Hindu College, JNU, Banaras Hindu University, and Maharani Lakshmi bai College. Additionally, he has extended his support and financial aid to St. Stephen’s Hospital and Shri Raghunath Hospital in Delhi, as well as Shri Raghunath Balika Vidyalaya in Rajasthan. Committed to social and environmental welfare, he has actively supported organizations such as the Kimmis Club in New Delhi, the Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata, vocational training centers in Sahibabad, and the Earth Saviours Foundation. He has also contributed to bio gas projects in Rajasthan and played a key role in the Aroma Mission led by CSIR and CIMAP.


His efforts in promoting sustainable cultivation of aromatic crops have been widely recognized. In recognition of his lifelong dedication to education, healthcare,and community service, he has received numerous global awards.
