Star Air to start flights between Kolhapur & Mumbai

This will be the 19th. addition to Star Air’s list of destinations. StarAir shall soon begin flights between Kolhapur and Mumbai as announced by Sanjay Ghodawat, owner of Star Air. Expressing his thoughts, Mr. Ghodawat said “, Our mission is to share ‘Real India’ with passengers by providing world-class, affordable flight services. With our motto of ‘Connecting to Real India’, we have started in a small way, boosting traffic to industrial townships. This in a way will boost industrial development. Apart from a pro-industries vision, we are promoting tourism and pilgrimage as well.”

Star Air is a subsidiary of Sanjay Ghodawat Group running for the last 25 years. Agriculture, Aviation, Consumer Goods, Energy, Floriculture, Food Processing, Mining, Reality, Software, Textiles and, Education are some of their key business domains.

The airline came into existence in 2017 under the Centre’s UDAN scheme. The scheme aims to improve regional connectivity within India. The company began its operations on January 2019 from Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore. Their maiden flight was to Hubbali in Karnataka

Shrenik Ghodawat, Managing Director, Star Group told Sugandh India “, Besides Kolhapur, there are other significant places in the district that will attract tourists as well. Mahalakshmi’s temple will also see an increase in devotees.” Further informing Sugandh India Shrenik said “, Kolhapur-Mumbai flight shall run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. With more flyers on this route in near future, we will gladly add more aircraft.”
