Shri Jaideep Gandhi of LDG International Delhi has been elected President of the Fragrance and Flavors Association of India (FAFAI) in the 74th Annual General Meeting. In this meeting, Mr. Yogesh Dubey, Head of Rakesh Sandal Industries, Kanpur, was appointed as Vice President, Mr. Shabd K Mehta, UK Aromatics Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai as  Hon. Secretary, Mr. Sanjay Harlalka, Nishant Aromas Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai as Hon. Joint Secretary and Mr. Kedar Vaze, S.H. Kelkar & Co. Ltd., Mumbai, for the post of Hon. Treasurer. Chief has been elected treasurer. Apart from the President and other office bearers, a new team of Managing Committee members has also been formed in the Annual General Meeting of Fafai. The 74th Annual General Meeting of FAFAI was held on 22 September 2023 at The Orchid Hotel Vile Parle (East), Mumbai, which was attended by representatives of 50 member companies. Newly elected President Shri Jaideep Gandhi said that he thanks the members of the organization and the Managing Committee for the trust they have shown in unanimously electing him as the President of an esteemed organization like FAFAI. He assured the gathering that he and his team will work hard for the next 2 years. Will work to the best of his ability.

Handing over the reins of FAFAI President to Mr. Jaideep Gandhi, outgoing Chairman Mr. Rishabh Kothari said that the new officers and the management committee will continue to work for the best of the industry. He also reviewed the activities of the organization in the last one year. The activities report of the 36th Managing Committee, audited accounts for the year 2022-23 and budget for the year 2023-24 were also approved during the AGM. After this, other issues were also included in the agenda of the AGM, which were seriously discussed by the members present. Mr Kothari told the members that some major incidents had happened since the last meeting. The 25th International Conference & Expo was held in Kolkata in February 2023, which saw participation from national and international companies and was one of the most successful events of FAFAI. Fafai’s efforts led to the inauguration of an important center of research and development. The Central Managing Committee in Navi Mumbai further achieved the objectives of FAFAI with great efficiency and team work. He thanked all the members of FAFAI in the meeting for honoring him by giving him the opportunity to serve the industry during the last 4 years of his tenure. The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Shri Shabd Mehta.
